Pro wrestling legend Samoa Joe is stepping into the world of video games once again, this time joining the cast of the upcoming “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.” The news was revealed in a trailer released on Friday, showcasing Joe’s character model at the 6:30 mark.

While his role in the game remains shrouded in mystery, fellow AEW star Kenny Omega took to X (formerly Twitter) to express excitement over Joe’s inclusion, jokingly commenting “Joe’s gonna kill you – but hopefully not me – I’m not medically cleared!”

This marks Joe’s second foray into the “Like a Dragon” series, following in the footsteps of Omega who appeared as downloadable content in last year’s “Like a Dragon: Ishin!”. Joe’s extensive video game resume includes appearances in “Dota 2”, “Dota Underlords”, “Game of Thrones”, and this year’s “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League”. He also plays the key character “Sweet Tooth” in the “Twisted Metal” series, which began streaming on Peacock last year.

With a storied career in professional wrestling, Joe is no stranger to capturing audiences. He has held championship titles in AEW, WWE, TNA, and ROH. This latest venture into the world of video games is sure to excite fans and gamers alike.

“Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” is set to release on February 28, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
