**Imphal, September 20, 2024:** In a decisive operation against militant activity, the Manipur Police have arrested three active cadres of the outlawed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) from Ghari Awang Leikai in Imphal West District.

The apprehended individuals, identified as Maibam Bronson Singh (24), Yumnam Lanchenba (21), and Soubam Nongpoknganba Meitei (52), were allegedly involved in extortion activities in the Sekmai and Thangmeiband areas, generating fear and insecurity among local residents and businesses.

During the raid, police recovered a 9mm pistol, a magazine, a live ammunition round, five mobile phones, a wallet, and a four-wheeler vehicle from the suspects.

The Manipur Police, in a statement on social media platform X, highlighted the successful operation and reaffirmed their commitment to combating militant activities in the state.
