**Santiago, Chile – September 20, 2024** – LATAM Airlines is set to revamp its Boeing 787 fleet with the installation of Recaro’s R7 Business Class suites, marking a significant upgrade in passenger experience.
This move makes LATAM the first South American airline to adopt the R7 mini-suite, renowned for its privacy and comfort. The refit will encompass both the airline’s Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft, with a total of 24 shipsets being installed. The Boeing 787-8 will feature 20 suites, while the Boeing 787-9 will boast 30.
The R7 suites offer passengers increased shell height for enhanced privacy and, most notably, suite doors, a first for any South American airline. The seats are also customized with LATAM’s signature colors and utilize recycled antimicrobial faux leather coverings.
