Fri Sep 20 12:58:37 UTC 2024: ## Pink Floyd Feuding Members Unite for Ice-T’s “Comfortably Numb” Cover

In a surprising turn of events, Pink Floyd’s famously feuding members, David Gilmour and Roger Waters, have united to support Ice-T’s heavy metal band Body Count’s reimagining of the iconic song “Comfortably Numb”.

Despite their ongoing public disputes, both Gilmour and Waters approved the cover, which sees Ice-T’s band adding new lyrics that reflect the “numbness” many experience in today’s chaotic world.

“It must have struck a nerve in both of those guys,” says Ice-T, explaining his motivation behind the cover. “I don’t think they would have approved it had I made a record like ‘Comfortable Buns’ or some shit.”

Gilmour even went a step further, offering to play guitar on the track, which will be included on Body Count’s upcoming album “Merciless” (due out November 22nd).

The unlikely collaboration has been met with excitement from fans and the music community alike. It serves as a reminder that even the most bitter of rivalries can be overcome by a shared passion for music.

“I do music to stay sane,” says Ice-T. “With music, I walk in and I write the script, I write the whole thing. I think that everyone should do something in their life that’s 100 percent them. That could be cooking, that could be horticulture, that could be painting, that could be sports, but something that’s all you to remain sane.”
