UK hardcore band Fates Messenger, featuring members from renowned acts like Romeo Must Die, Dishonour The Crown, and Above All, have dropped a new single and accompanying video titled “They Walk Among Us.” The track, self-produced and recorded by guitarist Ron D, showcases the band’s signature intensity and unrefined energy.

“They Walk Among Us” is a relentless assault of ferocious vocals, thunderous riffs, and monumental rhythms. Vocalist Tony Maddocks describes the song’s inspiration, stating, “We wanted to make it just really hard hitting and catchy. I think there’s a groove to it, but it’s also got a really haunting melodic part that works really well and gives it a little bit more depth and feeling.” The lyrics delve into themes of malevolent forces and the darkness that permeates our world, drawing inspiration from HBO’s Stephen King series “The Outsider.”

The video, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Shaun Hodson (Loki Films), was shot at a disused airbase outside Peterborough, capturing the track’s gritty and aggressive energy. The eerie atmosphere of the derelict base perfectly complements the song’s message. Hodson explains, “It was actually filmed in an old RAF base called RAF Upwood in Cambridgeshire. It had the American Air Force and British Air Force in it through the Second World War, so quite a cool lot of history.”

“They Walk Among Us” is a powerful statement from Fates Messenger, highlighting their undeniable talent and raw energy. The band’s new single and video is a must-see for fans of heavy music.
