Fri Sep 20 12:30:03 UTC 2024: ## England’s Pakistan Tour Gets a Schedule Shake-Up

**Multan to Host Second Test as Karachi Stadium Undergoes Renovations**

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a revised schedule for the upcoming three-test series against England, with the second test being moved from Karachi to Multan. The series will now begin in Multan with the first test taking place from October 7-11, followed by the second test in the same city from October 15-19. The third and final test will be held in Rawalpindi from October 24-28.

The change in venue for the second test comes as Karachi’s National Stadium undergoes a major renovation ahead of next year’s ICC Champions Trophy. The tournament will also be played in Lahore and Rawalpindi.

“Despite minor adjustments, we are committed to supporting fans and ensuring a memorable tour. We look forward to a fiercely competitive test series and showcasing Pakistan’s renowned hospitality,” said PCB director Usman Wahla.

England’s return to Pakistan after a 17-year hiatus marks a significant moment in cricketing history. The team last toured the country in 2005, with security concerns prompting them to stay away for almost two decades. England’s recent visit in 2022 saw them dominate Pakistan, winning the test series 3-0 and the T20 series 4-3.

The England men’s cricket team will arrive in Multan on October 2, setting the stage for what promises to be a thrilling and historic series.
