**GUWAHATI, Sept 20:** Assam’s energy sector received a major boost with the successful arrival of a massive 32-meter Vacuum Gas Oil (VGO) Hydrotreating Reactor at Numaligarh. The reactor, which embarked on an impressive 3,000 kilometer journey from Gujarat, is a crucial part of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL)’s ongoing expansion project.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the milestone, highlighting the dedication and ingenuity of the NRL team in navigating challenging terrain, including rivers and mountains, to ensure the safe delivery of the reactor.
“This is nation-building at its finest,” Sarma shared on social media, praising the team’s efforts. He emphasized the reactor’s importance in bolstering energy production in India, aligning with the government’s vision of a self-reliant and sustainable energy future.
