Fri Sep 20 12:36:50 UTC 2024: ## Ancelotti Calls for Reduced Game Load, Endrick Set for More Action

**Madrid, Spain** – Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has joined the chorus of coaches and players calling for a reduction in the number of games played throughout the season, suggesting that players would be willing to take a pay cut to achieve this. Ancelotti’s comments come in the wake of Manchester City midfielder Rodri’s warning that players are nearing a strike due to concerns over the increasing workload.

“Football needs to reflect because the aim is to try to play less games to have less injuries,” said Ancelotti during a press conference. “If that leads to lowering salaries, the aim is for players to play less games so I don’t think the players will have any problem to lower their wages if they play less.”

While Ancelotti acknowledged the seriousness of the players’ concerns, he also emphasized that the current season’s calendar won’t change. “The complaints of coaches and players is not going to change this season’s calendar,” he said. “It’s important to reflect on this and the players more so because they are getting tired. We have to analyse this. The players are thinking about changes in the future.”

Despite the pressing issue of player workload, Ancelotti also discussed Real Madrid’s current form and upcoming games. He expressed his satisfaction with the team’s recent performances, highlighting their strong showing in the Champions League opener against Stuttgart. “Against Stuttgart, we showed some great plays,” said Ancelotti. “I think we play beautiful football. I see that our fans are loving how we are playing.”

Looking ahead, Ancelotti confirmed that Brazilian teenager Endrick will be a key player for Madrid moving forward. The young forward, who joined the club from Palmeiras this summer, has already impressed with goals in both LaLiga and the Champions League. “He will be a starter in the next few games and in the future,” stated Ancelotti. “I think that is obvious with the quality he has. He is very humble, he doesn’t talk much but he works a lot and that’s good for me.”

Finally, Ancelotti provided an update on the recovery of midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, who sustained a knee injury in August. The French international is set to return to training with the team next week and will be a valuable asset upon his return. “He will start to work with the team next week,” said Ancelotti. “He is a very important player for us. He is going to offer a lot to the team.”
