South African actress Gcina Mkhize, known for her roles in shows like “Isibaya” and “Imbewu: The Seed”, has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support she received after publicly disclosing her eviction saga. Mkhize, who sought assistance from the public through social media, revealed that she has received over R20 000 in donations from fellow actors and concerned citizens.
Fellow actress Asavela Mgqithi contributed R2 000 to Mkhize’s bank account, and other industry colleagues including Celeste Ntuli, Nomzamo Mbatha, Puleng Ndlovu, Retha M, Angie Sekgobane, Khanyi Tshabalala, Nomonde Mbusi, Muzi Mthabela, Khanyo Maphumulo, and Bongani Gumede, have reached out with support.
