**Mumbai, India -** IRTH, the premium women’s handbag brand from the House of Titan, has officially entered the retail scene with its first store launch in Mumbai. The brand has ambitious plans for expansion, aiming to open 100 stores across India by fiscal year 2027.
According to Manish Gupta, CEO of Titan Company’s Fragrances and Fashion Accessories Division, the first phase of expansion will see ten stores opening this year, including two in Mumbai, two in Pune, one in Delhi, one in Kolkata, and one in Chennai. These exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) are expected to contribute 15 to 20 percent of IRTH’s total sales by March 2025.
“Opening a branded store is a crucial part of our strategy, reflecting our identity as a company,” Gupta explained. “We believe that a brand is truly born in exclusive stores, where we can share the complete brand story and concept with customers.”
The company, with over 200 stores in Mumbai, is confident in the city’s strong affinity for Tata and Titan brands, citing an estimated half a million consumer transactions occurring in Mumbai.
IRTH has already established a strong presence through 130 large-format stores in over 50 cities, including Shopper’s Stop and Lifestyle, and has built a customer base of over 90,000 through both offline and online channels. The success of the ten new stores will be a key indicator for future expansion, potentially paving the way for franchising opportunities.
The brand is targeting a revenue of ₹600 crore by 2027, with the combined accessories division aiming for ₹1,000 crore, capturing a third of the market. To attract customers, IRTH has curated over 90 products across categories in its EBOs and is introducing a new genuine leather line.
