Fri Sep 20 14:53:27 UTC 2024: ## Dindigul Ghee Supplier Denies Animal Fat Claims, Insists on Quality

**DINDIGUL:** AR Dairy Food Private Limited, a Dindigul-based ghee supplier to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), has vehemently denied allegations of using animal fat in their ghee, which is used in the preparation of laddus and other items at the temple. The company asserts that they only supply high-quality ghee and are prepared to take legal action to prove their innocence.

The controversy arose after the TTD authorities reported finding “foreign fat” in the ghee samples sent to the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). As a result, the ghee stock supplied by AR Dairy Food was returned, and the company was temporarily blacklisted.

In a press conference, AR Dairy Food’s Quality Control Managers Leni and Kannan asserted that their company, which has been in operation for over 20 years, has always maintained high quality standards in their ghee production. They stated that the allegations are “false” and that only 0.5% of their total ghee production was supplied to the TTD during June and July. The company further emphasized that they thoroughly tested the ghee before sending it to the TTD, and the reports are available for inspection.

The company’s Managing Director, R Rajasekar, told The New Indian Express that they are ready to face any legal action to prove the quality of their ghee. He confirmed that the company has already sent the necessary documents to the TTD authorities and is cooperating with their ongoing investigation.
