Thu Sep 19 07:13:00 UTC 2024: ## Mogo Trails: Australia’s Biggest Mountain Biking Project Takes Shape

**MOGO, NSW** – Mountain bikers rejoice! The Mogo Trails, a massive 130km trail system located on the southeastern coast of New South Wales, is rapidly nearing completion. This ambitious project, funded by a combined $8 million grant from the NSW and Australian governments, will be the largest mountain biking infrastructure investment in Australia to date.

Already boasting 70km of open trails, the Mogo Trails feature a diverse range of terrain for all skill levels, from green beginner loops to challenging double-black runs. The trails offer everything from technical rock gardens and drop-offs to exciting jump lines and long, flowing descents.

The project, spearheaded by Rocky Trail Destination and Next Level Mountain Bike, has been in the works since 2019. Construction began in January 2023 and has progressed rapidly, with over 80km of trails now accessible. The final phase of the project, focusing on the western side of the Princes Highway, will add a further 25km of flow and adventure trails.

The Eurobodalla Shire Council is optimistic about the project’s impact, stating that the funding will not only cover the construction of the trails but also allow for future expansion and the addition of amenities.

The Mogo Trails are expected to attract a significant number of mountain bikers, and are already set to host a major cycling event in 2025. Rocky Trail Entertainment, a sister company to Rocky Trail Destination, has secured the license to bring the Sea Otter Australia festival to the trails, making it the largest cycling festival in Australia.

With its diverse terrain, high-quality construction, and growing reputation, the Mogo Trails are poised to become a major destination for mountain bikers across Australia and beyond. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2025.
