Thu Sep 19 06:58:53 UTC 2024: ## Pixel Studio on Pixel 9 Series Gets a Convenient New Feature: Direct Image Sharing
**Mountain View, CA -** Google’s Pixel Studio app, a powerful AI-powered image editing tool exclusive to the Pixel 9 series, has received a significant update, allowing users to directly share images from other apps for editing. This eliminates the need to manually download images and select them from the Pixel Studio gallery, streamlining the workflow.
The new feature, included in version 1.1.001.672728916.05 of Pixel Studio, lets you share an image from compatible apps like Slack or WhatsApp directly to the app, providing a seamless editing experience. However, the feature is limited to apps that support sharing image files, excluding services like Instagram and web browsers which share URLs instead.
While Pixel Studio’s AI capabilities are impressive, the app doesn’t currently support editing images of human subjects, a limitation Google has acknowledged since its initial launch.
While the direct image sharing feature is a welcome addition, it currently suffers from some inconsistencies, sometimes requiring multiple attempts to open images successfully. Google is expected to address these issues in future updates, refining the experience for users.
This new feature further enhances the Pixel Studio app’s functionality, making it a more convenient and versatile tool for users to unleash their creativity and edit images on the go.
