**Wilmington, Delaware:** The upcoming Quad Summit in Delaware will showcase the growing strategic importance and alignment of the four-nation grouping, according to the White House. The Quad, comprising Australia, Japan, India, and the United States, has seen its annual summit hosted on a rotational basis since its inception under President Biden in 2020.

John Kirby, White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Director, stated that the summit in Wilmington on September 21 will demonstrate the Quad’s heightened relevance. He highlighted that this will be the first time the US has hosted foreign leaders in Wilmington, President Biden’s hometown, reflecting his belief in the personal dimension of foreign policy.

President Biden will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese individually, followed by a plenary session.

Kirby emphasized President Biden’s commitment to strengthening alliances and partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region, pointing to initiatives like AUKUS, the trilateral Camp David summit with Japan and South Korea, and the first US-Japan-Philippines Leaders’ Summit.

Prime Minister Modi will be making a three-day visit to the US, commencing on September 21, to attend the Quad Summit and address the “Summit of the Future” at the UN General Assembly. He will also address the Indian diaspora in New York on September 22.

The Quad Summit in Delaware promises to be a key event in the ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships and address regional challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
