The visit marks one year of the Vishwakarma Yojna, and PM Modi released credit to 18 beneficiaries under the scheme and issued certificates.

During his speech, PM Modi slammed the Congress party, accusing them of promoting “tukde tukde gang” and “urban naxals”. He claimed that Congress leaders deliver anti-national speeches while abroad.

The Congress, in turn, criticized PM Modi’s visit, asking him to clarify his stance on Mahatma Gandhi and Nathuram Godse, who assassinated the Mahatma. Jairam Ramesh, General Secretary of the Congress, also raised concerns about farmer suicides in Vidarbha and the implementation of the Forest Rights Act.
