**Cebu City, Philippines** – The Cebu Press Freedom Week 2024 culminated yesterday with the much-anticipated Mr. & Ms. Cebu Press Freedom 2024 pageant. The event, organized by the Entertainment Group (E-Group) of Cebu’s entertainment media, was a dazzling spectacle.

Remart Pogoy, representing the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP), was crowned Mr. Cebu Press Freedom 2024. Queenie Joligon of MyTV Cebu was crowned Ms. Cebu Press Freedom 2024.

The competition was fierce, with Andrew Matthew Ortoño (The Freeman) and Elikha Joy Janaban (KBB) taking the first runner-up positions. Third runner-up titles went to JP Seblos (SunStar Cebu), Iris Hazel Mascardo (The Freeman), Arvin Buzon (MyTV Cebu), and Claudine Flores (SunStar Cebu).

The winners received cash prizes of P10,000 for Mr. & Ms., P7,000 for first runner-ups, P5,000 for second runner-ups, and P3,000 for third runner-ups. All contestants received free round-trip domestic flight tickets from Cebu Pacific.

The event was held at The Axis Bar inside NuStar Resort & Casino, the venue sponsor. The CPFW 2024 and the E-Group expressed gratitude to the sponsors, including Bigseed, Robinsons Hotel & Resorts, Universal Robina, D’Sash & Crown Maker Philippines, Color and Peach Studio Salon, PR Works, ORO China, Fili Hotel, Belo, and Chase Cokaliong.

Adding a special touch to the night were final questions posed by Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla and PBA legend Mon Fernandez via video. The organizers also recognized previous winners of the Cebu media pageant from 2004 to 2023.

The Cebu Media celebrates its 32nd Press Freedom Week this year, with the closing ceremony scheduled for today.
