AMC has officially canceled the highly anticipated sequel series, *Orphan Black: Echoes*, after just one season. The show, starring Krysten Ritter and set in the same universe as the original *Orphan Black* series, aired from June to August 2024.
Despite its connection to the cult-favorite original, *Orphan Black: Echoes* failed to achieve the same level of success. The show, set in 2052, followed the life of an adult Kira Manning and her wife as they attempted to help an amnesiac woman named Lucy.
The sequel received mixed reviews from critics and fans, garnering a 60% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It struggled to capture the same critical acclaim and dedicated fanbase as the original series, which starred Tatiana Maslany and won an Emmy for its complex portrayal of multiple clones.
