**Chennai, India:** Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah reached a significant milestone during the first Test match between India and Bangladesh at the Chepauk Stadium. He joined the elite club of top 10 Indian bowlers to achieve 400 wickets across all formats of international cricket.
Bumrah, who bagged three wickets before the tea break, reached this milestone by dismissing Bangladesh batsman Hasan Mahmud. He has taken 162 wickets in Tests, 149 in ODIs, and 89 in T20Is. This achievement came in his 227th international innings.
He became the sixth Indian pacer to achieve this feat, joining the likes of Anil Kumble, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammed Shami.
Bumrah, who made his Test debut in 2018, has been a key player for India across all formats. He is known for his exceptional pace, swing, and ability to consistently pick up wickets. He recently had a phenomenal performance during the Test series against England, taking a record 19 wickets.
