**Nicholas Lyndhurst, best known for his role as Rodney Trotter in the iconic British sitcom “Only Fools and Horses,” has been living a quiet life in West Sussex with his wife, Lucy Smith.**

The 62-year-old actor, who also enjoyed success with the ITV sitcom “Goodnight Sweetheart” and more recently joined the cast of the “Frasier” reboot, prefers a life away from the limelight. He resides in the seaside village of West Witterings, close to his birthplace in Emsworth, Hampshire.

Lyndhurst and Smith married in Chichester in 1999 and welcomed a son, Archie, who also pursued a career in acting. Sadly, Archie tragically died in 2020 at the age of 19 from a brain hemorrhage caused by acute lymphoblastic lymphoma.

**Beyond acting, Lyndhurst is a trained pilot, having obtained his license in 1989. He owns a Cessna 182T Skylane and considers flying his greatest achievement.** In a 1997 interview, he stated, “Flying is the best thing I’ve ever done – and that includes acting.” He is also an avid underwater diver and even turned down an opportunity to present a show on diving, believing that “Jacques Cousteau did it best.”

Despite his success and fame, Nicholas Lyndhurst continues to value his quiet life in Sussex, prioritizing family and his personal passions.
