**Chennai, India:** India continued their dominance over Bangladesh in the first Test match in Chennai, extending their lead to a massive 308 runs at the end of Day 2.

The Indian bowlers, spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah’s four-wicket haul, bowled Bangladesh out for a paltry 149 runs in their first innings, giving India a 227-run lead.

In their second innings, India got off to a shaky start with Rohit Sharma dismissed early for 5 runs. However, Shubman Gill (33*) and Rishabh Pant (12*) steered the team towards a comfortable position at stumps, with India at 81/3.
