**Chennai, India -** India took complete control of the first Test against Bangladesh on Day 2, with their bowlers dismantling the Bangladesh batting lineup.

After India declared their innings at 376/10, the Indian seamers, led by Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep, struck early blows, reducing Bangladesh to 22/3 in the first session. Bumrah dismissed Shadman Islam in his first over, while Akash Deep cleaned up Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque in consecutive overs.

Mohammed Siraj joined the wicket-taking party in the second session, removing Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto. Bumrah then dismissed Mushfiqur Rahim, leaving Bangladesh struggling at 40/5.
