Thu Sep 19 05:02:43 UTC 2024: ## Gaza Death Toll Surpasses 41,000 as Israeli Offensive Enters 11th Month

**Gaza City, Palestine** – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has reported a devastating death toll of 41,272 civilians since the start of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023. The figure includes 706 fatalities in the West Bank, bringing the total number of Palestinian casualties to over 42,000.

The ministry reported a further 95,551 injuries across the Palestinian territories. The situation remains dire, with many civilians still trapped under rubble and unreachable by rescue teams. The ongoing siege and the destruction of 70% of Gaza’s homes and infrastructure have created an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, with residents facing severe food shortages and a growing threat of famine.

The Israeli regime’s offensive, dubbed “Operation Al-Aqsa Storm,” has resulted in the deaths of 159 children, 10 women, and 9 elderly individuals in the West Bank. Despite the immense casualties and widespread destruction, the Israeli government has acknowledged its failure to achieve its stated objectives, including the dismantling of Hamas and the return of Israeli captives held in Gaza.

The international community has condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks and called for a ceasefire, humanitarian aid, and an end to the siege. However, the violence continues unabated, leaving the Palestinian people in a state of despair and uncertainty.
