The University of Michigan’s Center for Academic Innovation (CAI) is seeking an Associate Director of Media and Technology Solutions to lead their team in supporting the growing need for high-quality media production in online education. This role is crucial in fulfilling the university’s Vision 2034 goal of “life-changing education” and expanding access to a diverse community of learners.
The Associate Director will be responsible for maintaining and developing the six new state-of-the-art production studios within CAI, including an extended reality virtual production studio. They will also manage the network and server infrastructure and ensure the scalable delivery of high-quality educational media productions to meet the needs of faculty and students.
This position will require strong technical problem-solving skills alongside high-level strategic thinking. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty and leaders across all 19 schools and colleges, consulting on media and technology solutions to meet their diverse needs.
The Associate Director will report directly to Jeremy Nelson, CAI’s Senior Director of Creative Studios. Nelson emphasizes the need for a leader who can understand the current needs and develop a long-term plan for success.
