Lucien Laviscount, best known for his role as Alfie in the hit Netflix series “Emily in Paris,” has joined the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy film “People We Meet on Vacation.” The film, based on the popular novel by Emily Henry, boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Jameela Jamil (“The Good Place”), Sarah Catherine Hook (“The White Lotus”), Lukas Gage (“Euphoria”), Tom Blyth (“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes”), and Emily Bader (“My Lady Jane”).
“People We Meet on Vacation” tells the story of Poppy, a free-spirited woman, and Alex, a man who thrives on routine. Despite living in different cities, they share an annual summer vacation together. However, their strong bond is tested as they grapple with the question of whether their friendship is truly platonic or if something more romantic is brewing.
The film is directed by Brett Haley, known for his work on “I’ll See You in My Dreams.” Laviscount recently starred in the fourth season of “Emily in Paris,” which was released on Netflix in two parts. He also appeared in the romantic comedy “This Time Next Year,” based on the Sophie Cousens novel.
