Thu Sep 19 08:00:06 UTC 2024: ## French Animation Studio Embraces AI and Social Media to Reach Young Audiences

**Paris, France** – Andarta Pictures, a French animation studio, is taking a bold approach to navigate the challenges facing the industry. With financing becoming a major hurdle, the company is focusing on innovative production models and embracing new technologies to create engaging content that resonates with young audiences.

“The biggest issue facing animation is the gap between increasing content costs and stagnant budgets,” explains Bruna Pegoraro, Development Manager at Andarta Pictures. “We need to find new ways to finance projects and build strong partnerships.”

Andarta’s strategy involves leveraging strategic partnerships, fostering creative synergies, and utilizing cutting-edge technologies, particularly generative AI. The company is committed to preserving the artistic integrity of animation while embracing the potential of AI to streamline certain processes.

“We’re not using AI to replace animators, but rather to assist them on technical tasks like creating in-between frames,” says Pegoraro. “This allows our artists to focus on key-posing and character animation, resulting in higher quality visuals.”

Andarta is also keenly aware of the evolving consumption habits of young audiences. “They’re spending more time online and want to be immersed in the stories they love,” says Pegoraro. “They want to interact, create, and be part of the universe.”

To tap into this trend, the studio is incorporating social media and digital platforms into its production strategy. This includes engaging fans through online communities, fostering interaction, and leveraging digital channels to launch new IPs.

“We’re pitching our project, ‘5 Worlds,’ at Cartoon Forum, which is a perfect example of how we’re marrying classic storytelling with modern digital engagement,” explains Pegoraro.

‘5 Worlds’ is a 8×26′ animated series based on a graphic novel series that has sold over 500,000 copies. The series follows three kids on an interplanetary quest for justice and freedom, exploring themes of cultural integration and class struggle. Andarta hopes to leverage social media to foster a sense of community around the IP and create a truly immersive experience for young viewers.

Andarta Pictures is demonstrating that the future of animation is one that embraces new technologies and innovative approaches to storytelling. By focusing on engagement, collaboration, and adapting to the evolving digital landscape, they are poised to capture the attention of a new generation of animation fans.
