**ATLANTA, GA** – Two key summer acquisitions for Atlanta United, **Pedro Amador** and **Alexei Miranchuk**, have earned their first MLS Team of the Matchday selections, the league announced Thursday. Both players were instrumental in Atlanta’s thrilling 2-2 draw against Inter Miami CF, the current top team in Major League Soccer.

Amador, a 25-year-old left back, has quickly established himself as a crucial component of Atlanta’s defense, filling the void left by Caleb Wiley’s departure to Chelsea. He impressed with his defensive tenacity, racking up four interceptions and a crucial goal-line block against Miami. Amador’s performance follows a stellar showing against Charlotte FC, where he recorded a league-leading five tackles and five interceptions, demonstrating his ability to shut down opposing offenses.

“Pedro specifically, whether he was defending him or defending the box, clearing off the line, he’s been fantastic the last two games,” said interim head coach Rob Valentino. “That’s a person who’s integrated into the team really well.”

Meanwhile, Miranchuk, a 28-year-old attacking midfielder, has brought his European experience and dynamic attacking ability to Atlanta United. The designated player, who joined the club from Serie A’s Atalanta, scored a stunning equalizer against Miami in the 84th minute, showcasing his skill and potential.

“If you compare the leagues in Europe to the U.S., it’s completely different,” Miranchuk admitted. “I thank my teammates and my coach, they are helping me to adjust more and more.”

With both Amador and Miranchuk settling into their new roles, Atlanta United fans can look forward to exciting performances from these two key acquisitions in the upcoming matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
