**Cupertino, CA** – Apple has announced an expansion of language support for its AI suite, “Apple Intelligence,” which will be rolled out to users next month with the release of the iOS 18.1 update.

Initially available in US English, Apple Intelligence will now offer support for a variety of new languages including German, Italian, and two localized versions of English (India and Singapore). The expansion also includes Portuguese, Vietnamese, and other languages to be announced later.

While the AI suite has been available in the iOS 18 developer beta for some time, it was not included in the initial public release on September 16th.

Users can expect to see a handful of Apple Intelligence features initially, including writing tools, a “Clean Up” tool, and web page summarization. More features like Image Playground and an AI-powered Siri are planned for later in the year.

However, Apple has confirmed that Apple Intelligence will not be available in China or the European Union. The AI suite is currently compatible with the entire iPhone 16 series as well as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
