Wed Sep 18 00:07:00 UTC 2024: ## WVU Medicine Children’s Heads to Bristol Motor Speedway for Charity Race

**MORGANTOWN, W.Va.** – WVU Medicine Children’s is taking a road trip to Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend, supporting West Virginia native Christian Rose in the ARCA Menards Series Race. Rose will be driving a No. 32 Ford Mustang featuring designs created by WVU Medicine Children’s patients.

Three young patients, Ivy Martin, Brantly Poling, and Addison Schrock, will be treated to an all-access experience on race day. While in Tennessee, WVU Medicine Children’s is asking for donations to help young patients like them in West Virginia and the surrounding region.

The “Road to Bristol Motor Speedway Challenge” kicks off on September 19th. Community members can donate and support the hospital while cheering on Rose in the race. All donations will go to WVU Medicine Children’s, helping to purchase life-saving equipment, fund groundbreaking research, and provide comfort to patients.

“We are so grateful to Christian Rose, AM Racing, and everyone making this week possible for our kids,” said Amy L. Bush, Chief Administrative Officer for WVU Medicine Children’s. “This event will allow thousands of people to learn more about our work and how we deliver the best possible care for women and children in the region.”

Special challenges throughout the day will unlock critical funding for the hospital thanks to sponsors Cindi Roth, President and CEO of the WVU Foundation, and the Lori Vance Insurance Agency, Inc.
