Wed Sep 18 17:07:00 UTC 2024: ## Waldorf University Alumni Take Center Stage in BrickStreet Theatre’s “The 39 Steps”

**Forest City, Iowa** – The upcoming production of “The 39 Steps” at BrickStreet Theatre is a testament to the strong ties between the community theater and Waldorf University. Not only is the director, Kyle Ennis, a 2022 Waldorf graduate, but the entire cast also boasts strong connections to the university.

Three of the four actors, Noah Fredricks, Noah Hoffman, and Liz Taylor, are Waldorf theatre program alumni. The fourth cast member, Julie Keely, serves as the Business Affairs Manager at Waldorf. Even the voice of the radio announcer, Dan May, is the manager of Waldorf’s Boman Fine Arts Center.

“BrickStreet and Waldorf have been natural partners from the onset,” said Keely, who also previously served as BrickStreet’s artistic director. “Waldorf employees and alumni have been involved in all aspects of our productions, from acting and building sets to managing props and running sound and lights.”

This unique partnership, which began in 2015, showcases the talent and dedication of Waldorf alumni while providing a creative outlet for the community. The Boman Fine Arts Center, a shared performance facility made possible by the collaboration of Forest City Community School District, Waldorf University, and BrickStreet Theatre, serves as the perfect platform for this mutually beneficial relationship.

Taylor, Director of the Forest City Education Foundation, expressed her gratitude for the opportunities provided by Waldorf’s theatre department. “Waldorf’s theatre department was ultimately the reason I decided to enroll,” she said. “I was challenged both as an actress and an artist, and I am glad to contribute to the community theater that has become a creative outlet for Forest City.”

“The 39 Steps” will be performed September 27-29 and October 4-6 at BrickStreet Theatre’s Highway 69 South venue in Forest City. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.brickstreettheatre.org or by calling 641-585-1800.
