**Chennai, India** – India clawed their way back into the first Test match against Bangladesh, thanks to a stellar century from Ravichandran Ashwin. At the end of the first day’s play, India reached 335/6, with Ashwin on 100* and Ravindra Jadeja on 50*.
The Indian team had been struggling at 144/6 but Ashwin, along with Jadeja, put on a crucial 191-run partnership for the 7th wicket. Ashwin’s century came off just 108 balls, including 10 fours and 2 sixes, marking his sixth Test century.
