Ridgecrest, CA – The Ridgecrest Police Department responded to a diverse range of calls on September 19, 2024, ranging from suspicious individuals to domestic disturbances.
The day began with a report of a “sketchy guy” hanging around the dumpsters at the Baymont By Wyndham hotel. The individual was given a warning to leave. Other early calls included a domestic disturbance reported via a cellular 911 call, a 911 hang-up, and a prisoner transport.
Throughout the day, officers responded to a multitude of calls including:
* **Unwanted subjects:** At least 3 calls were made regarding individuals causing discomfort or unwanted presence.
* **Reckless driving:** Reports of reckless drivers were received from multiple locations.
* **Theft of identification:** An individual reported the theft of their identification.
