**Chennai, September 19, 2024:** Ravichandran Ashwin, known for his mastery with the ball, proved his batting prowess in the second Test against Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Batting at number eight, Ashwin scored a magnificent century, rescuing India from a precarious position. This is his sixth Test century and his second at his home ground, Chennai.

India was struggling at 127/6, with key batsmen like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill already dismissed. However, Ashwin, who walked in with the score at 152/6, immediately demonstrated his intent with two cracking boundaries. He then went on to score a half-century in just 58 balls, showcasing his aggressive batting style.
