**Sacramento, CA** – A round of scattered cool-air thunderstorms is expected to continue in the Sierra Nevada Wednesday evening, with a chance of lightning and small hail, primarily south of Highway 50. Some storms could produce accumulating hail, making roads slippery.
The Foothills and Valley will remain dry and cool Wednesday night, with temperatures in the low 80s for Downtown Sacramento on Thursday. The day will bring drier, brighter conditions and warmer temperatures across most Valley spots.
Another round of Sierra showers and thunderstorms is expected Thursday, with rain most likely south of Highway 50. An east breeze could push some downpours into the Foothills and eastern San Joaquin Valley by evening.
Friday will be dry, sunny, and seasonably warm for all of Northern California. Temperatures will rise above average this weekend, with potential for triple-digit heat in the Valley early next week.
