Thu Sep 19 17:09:17 UTC 2024: ## Modi Slams NC-Congress Alliance, Vows to Prevent Restoration of Article 370
**Katra, Jammu and Kashmir:** In a fiery election rally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the National Conference (NC) and Congress alliance, accusing them of aligning with Pakistan on the issue of Article 370 restoration.
Responding to Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s claims that the Shehbaz Sharif government and the NC-Congress alliance share a common goal of restoring Article 370 and 35A, Modi declared that “no power on earth” can bring back the provision.
“We will not allow Pakistan’s agenda to be implemented in Jammu and Kashmir,” he asserted, emphasizing his commitment to restoring statehood to the region if the BJP is elected to power in the 2024 Assembly elections.
Modi further accused the alliance of prioritizing the interests of three families – Congress, NC and PDP – at the expense of the state’s development. He pledged to continue BJP’s efforts to bring peace and prosperity to Jammu and Kashmir, which he claimed had been neglected by the previous governments.
Modi highlighted the BJP’s role in weakening separatism and terrorism following the abrogation of Article 370. He also emphasized the party’s commitment to multi-sectoral development in Jammu, which he said was ignored by the NC-Congress-PDP alliance.
He concluded by criticizing the alliance for allowing water resources to flow to Pakistan, while the BJP has prioritized dam construction for the benefit of the region.
