Wed Sep 18 17:26:00 UTC 2024: ## McKean County to Conduct Mosquito Control Spraying Tonight
**SMETHPORT** – McKean County Mosquito Control will be conducting a truck-mounted mosquito spraying operation tonight in Annin, Liberty, Keating, and Eldred townships, as well as the boroughs of Eldred and Smethport.
The spraying will begin late this evening and continue throughout the day, weather permitting. The operation aims to combat high populations of adult nuisance mosquitoes detected in the area.
McKean Environmental Solutions LLC will be conducting the spraying in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. They will be using Biomist 3+15 or Anvil 10+10, both designed for quick and effective control of adult mosquitoes.
The spraying is scheduled to take place regardless of the weather forecast, which predicts foggy conditions in the morning followed by partly cloudy skies and highs around 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances or weather delays, the spraying will be rescheduled for Friday.
