**Katra, J&K:** Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has promised continued development and reverence for the newly carved out “Shri Mata Vaishno Devi” Assembly constituency, assuring voters that the BJP government prioritizes the region’s needs.
Addressing a series of BJP public meetings in the Bhomag area, Dr. Singh highlighted the transformative changes witnessed in the constituency since Narendra Modi took over as Prime Minister in 2014. He credited Modi for prioritizing Katra and the Holy Shrine, citing the inauguration of the Katra Railway Station, the declaration of Katra as one of India’s 10 icon locations, and the inclusion of the town in the National PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive) Scheme.
Dr. Singh also emphasized the improved connectivity and infrastructure development under the Modi government, including the construction of PMGSY roads and centrally funded roads, leading to increased pilgrimage and economic growth. He further lauded the introduction of Vande Bharat trains and the upcoming train to the Kashmir Valley, passing through the highest railway bridge in the world, as a testament to the Prime Minister’s commitment to the region.
He assured voters that a BJP victory in the upcoming elections would ensure continued development and coordination between the DDC Chairman, MLA, MP, and the central government, bringing the benefits of government schemes to the people of the region.
