**Astana, Kazakhstan – September 18, 2024:** Kazakhstan experienced a significant influx of tourists in the first half of September, with a total of 597,000 foreign visitors arriving. The surge was attributed to the 5th World Nomad Games and a concert by popular Kazakh artist Dimash Qudaibergen.

The events attracted visitors from 89 countries, with notable contributions from China (over 33,000 tourists), India (more than 6,000), Türkiye, Germany (over 4,000), and the United States (around 2,000).

According to the eQonaq information system, Astana alone welcomed approximately 12,400 foreign tourists in a single week, generating $15.5 million in spending on accommodation, transportation, food, and entertainment. Tourists from distant countries spent an average of $1,500, while the World Nomad Games participants contributed an estimated $625,000 to the national economy.

The events boosted tourism at Astana’s attractions, with the National Museum of Kazakhstan attracting over 14,000 visitors, the Astana-Baiterek monument drawing around 15,000, and the Nur-Alem pavilion seeing approximately 10,000 visitors. The Ethno Village and the World Nomad Games itself drew over 250,000 attendees.

The successful events highlight Kazakhstan’s growing potential as a tourism destination, with officials expecting this trend to continue in the future.
