Thu Sep 19 02:26:58 UTC 2024: ## iPhone SE 4 to be the First US-Made Chip Phone in 14 Years, Potentially Missing AI Features

**New Delhi, India** – The highly anticipated iPhone SE 4, scheduled for a March 2025 launch, is set to be the first iPhone in over a decade to feature a US-manufactured chip, potentially leading to a tradeoff in AI capabilities.

According to recent reports, the iPhone SE 4 will be powered by the A16 Bionic chip, currently being produced at TSMC’s Fab 21 facility in Arizona. This chip debuted with the iPhone 14 Pro two years ago and also powers the standard iPhone 15 models.

While this move signifies a shift towards domestic chip manufacturing for Apple, it could mean the iPhone SE 4 will miss out on key AI features, such as Apple Intelligence, which requires a Pro chip.

Despite this potential setback, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to boast a host of other upgrades, including a USB-C port, an Action button, and a larger 6.06-inch OLED display with Face ID. It will also adopt the design language of the upcoming iPhone 16, ditching the Home button for an all-screen look.

While the inclusion of the US-made A16 Bionic chip presents a unique proposition for the iPhone SE 4, potential buyers may have to weigh the tradeoff between enhanced domestic manufacturing and the absence of certain AI capabilities.
