**Chennai, India (September 18, 2024):** India will face a tough test against Bangladesh in the first of a two-match Test series starting Thursday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. While India boasts a dominant home record, their recent struggles against spin bowling, particularly from key batsmen like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, could prove to be a major obstacle.

Despite impressive overall numbers, Kohli’s average against spin has dipped to 30 in the last three years, while Sharma’s has also dropped to 44. KL Rahul’s performance against spin has also been underwhelming, averaging only 23.40 in home Tests since 2021.
