**Carthage, TX** – The Carthage Police Department is investigating a fatal crash involving an out-of-county tow truck and a passenger car. The accident occurred at 11:22 PM on September 17th in the 800 block of South Adams Street.
Upon arrival, officers found both vehicles unoccupied. The driver of the tow truck, a white male, was found deceased underneath the vehicle. Texas DPS has been contacted to assist with reconstructing the scene.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until all family members have been notified. The incident remains under investigation.
