The Enosburg Hornets girls’ volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to the reigning state champions, the Essex Hornets, on Tuesday, September 17th. Essex dominated the match, winning in straight sets (25-11, 25-16, 25-14), showcasing strong serving and a dominant middle attack.
Despite the defeat, the Hornets had some bright spots. Camryn Benoit led the team with 7 digs and 3 aces, while Ava Burns contributed 4 assists and 5 digs. Anya Paquette added 5 digs and Addie West tallied 4 kills.
The Hornets will look to rebound this Saturday, September 21st, as they host Vermont Commons School for their homecoming match.
