This versatile building, designed by ZAV Architects, aims to revitalize the city’s cultural and scientific landscape while promoting sustainable practices.

Originally envisioned as a space for workshops, labs, and conferences, the Foundation has evolved into a multi-functional hub. This shift in focus was prompted by concerns about the project’s viability in a remote city with limited urban spaces and Iran’s restrictive political environment. By embracing a community-centric approach, the architects have created a space that can host diverse activities, from educational workshops and professional gatherings to exhibitions and co-working spaces.

The Foundation’s flexibility extends beyond its functionality. ZAV Architects have employed a “grandmother’s circular economy,” utilizing local resources and traditional craftsmanship.
