**Orlando, Florida** – This week, Disney+ is set to launch a highly anticipated spinoff of the popular series “WandaVision,” titled “Agatha All Along.” This Halloween-themed extravaganza, directed by “WandaVision” writer Jac Schaeffer, will focus on the mischievous witch Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn.
The series, originally titled “Agatha: House of Harkness,” underwent numerous title changes, eventually settling on the catchy “Agatha All Along,” a nod to the fan-favorite jingle from “WandaVision.”
“Agatha All Along” promises a unique blend of magic and music. The show is expected to feature a “musical theater” style, inspired by the popular songs from “WandaVision.” Celebrated lyricists and composers Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson Lopez, known for their work on “The Book of Mormon” and “Frozen,” are behind the show’s catchy tunes.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Aubrey Plaza, who will portray the enigmatic Rio Vidal, a character rumored to be Agatha’s jilted ex-lover. This development could add a significant layer to the LGBTQ+ representation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The cast also includes Broadway legend Patti LuPone as Lilia Calderu, a powerful witch in the coven, and Joe Locke from “Heartstopper” as a pivotal character who kicks off the show’s magical events.
Several familiar faces from “WandaVision,” including Emma Caulfield Ford, David Payton, and Asif Ali, will also make appearances, reprising their roles as Westview residents.
With the absence of Wanda Maximoff and Vision, Disney and Marvel’s Kevin Feige hope “Agatha All Along” will usher in a new era of Marvel Television. The series promises a thrilling mix of magic, music, and intriguing character dynamics, making it a must-watch for fans of the MCU.
“Agatha All Along” premieres on Disney+ with a two-episode release on September 18th.
