**Srinagar, September 10:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a large-scale poll rally in Srinagar today, marking his first campaign appearance in the Union Territory since the first phase of Jammu & Kashmir Assembly elections took place yesterday. The rally, expected to attract around 30,000 BJP workers, will be held at Sher-e-Kashmir Park.
The Prime Minister’s visit comes after peaceful polling in 24 Assembly constituencies across seven districts of Jammu & Kashmir, marking the first such election since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.
Senior BJP leader Mohammad Anwar Khan is overseeing the rally, and heavy security measures have been deployed in Srinagar to ensure a smooth and secure event.
The BJP is contesting all 43 Assembly seats in the Jammu division and 19 out of 47 seats in Kashmir. The remaining phases of the elections will take place on September 25 and October 1, with the counting of votes scheduled for October 8.
