**KUALA LUMPUR** – Bina Darulaman Bhd has assured investors that the resignation of its external auditor, Messrs KPMG PLT, is a standard governance procedure and will not affect the company’s financial integrity.
The resignation, effective September 9th, 2024, followed the completion of KPMG’s 10-year tenure as the company’s auditor, spanning from 2014 to 2023. Notably, KPMG has not yet audited Bina Darulaman’s 2024 financial reports.
Bina Darulaman has already shortlisted BDO PLT as its new auditor, pending the completion of necessary documentation. The company emphasizes that the transition will not disrupt its operations.
“The Board is confident that the change in external auditors will ensure a smooth continuation of the financial reporting process,” said Bina Darulaman in a statement, adding that the company will benefit from new perspectives and insights provided by BDO.
