**Trinity, Alabama -** An Alabama woman has been arrested after 18 years on the run from authorities. Linda Adams Cartee, 58, was taken into custody Tuesday morning on 88 outstanding warrants stemming from 2006 and 2007. The warrants were issued for failing to appear in court after Cartee allegedly wrote worthless checks.
According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Cartee was apprehended following a tip from the Fugitive Unit. The warrants include 39 counts of issuing a worthless check and 49 counts of failing to appear for issuing a worthless check.
Cartee was booked into the Morgan County Jail and is being held on a $133,900 bond.
