**Scottsbluff, NE** – A Scottsbluff man who absconded from work release Wednesday morning was apprehended by police after a brief search.
Aaron Wilder Jr., 21, left his work assignment at approximately 9:55 a.m. in the 1800 block of Broadway. The Scottsbluff Police Department, assisted by the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, launched a search for Wilder, placing local schools on secure status as a precaution.
Wilder was located in the area of the 000 block of W. 23rd Street after officers utilized nearby security cameras to narrow down the search area. He was taken into custody without incident.
Wilder was being held on misdemeanor charges and was not considered dangerous.
Multiple agencies participated in the search, including the Scottsbluff Police Department, the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, and the Scottsbluff Public Schools.
