Wed Sep 18 05:23:39 UTC 2024: ## Capybara on the Loose: Zoo Launches Massive Search for Escaped Rodent

**Telford, Shropshire** – A major search is underway for Cinnamon, a capybara who escaped from Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World four days ago. The zoo, located in Telford, Shropshire, believes Cinnamon has managed to get past the zoo’s perimeter fence and is now located in the area around Humber Brook, north of the zoo.

A “mass search” involving 20 people and a thermal drone is being conducted tonight, focusing on the pinpointed area. Despite the search, zoo owner Will Dorrell said the capybara’s exceptional hiding abilities mean they could be “walking on top of her and not realising.”

Two suspected sightings of Cinnamon in waterways connecting with Humber Brook have been reported, but the zoo believes she is still in the brook itself. The zoo has received valuable information from local residents about Cinnamon’s possible location.

Cinnamon, the world’s largest rodent, is native to South America and prefers to live near water and in dense forests. The zoo has urged the public to be on the lookout for Cinnamon, but to avoid approaching her as she is timid and any attempt to capture her could scare her further away.

The zoo is determined to reunite Cinnamon with her family, who are missing her dearly.

The search for Cinnamon has captured the attention of many on social media, with people offering their support and help. The zoo is grateful for the public’s assistance and hopes to bring Cinnamon home safely soon.
