**Samsung has rolled out the September 2024 security update for the carrier-unlocked version of the Galaxy S21 FE in the US.** The update, with firmware version G990U1UESCGXH2, brings fixes for 67 security vulnerabilities. It is currently available for devices on AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, C-Spire, Cellular South, Comcast, Cricket, DISH, MetroPCS, T-Mobile, Tracfone, US Cellular, and Xfinity Mobile, with wider availability expected soon.

This update follows the release of the same security patch for the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy S21 FE in the US yesterday. Samsung has also released the September 2024 update to the factory-unlocked units of the Galaxy S21 series in the US, as well as to international variants last week.

**The Galaxy S21 FE is expected to receive Android 15-based One UI 7.0 in the future, following its current Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update.**

**Meanwhile, Samsung is reportedly facing further delays and problems with low yields at its chip manufacturing plant in Taylor, Texas.** This has resulted in personnel being withdrawn from the facility.
