Wed Sep 18 07:13:32 UTC 2024: ## Triumph India Unveils Two New Motorcycles: Speed 400 and Speed T4

Triumph India has launched two new motorcycles, the updated Speed 400 and the all-new Speed T4. While both motorcycles share a similar design aesthetic, including a round headlight, single-piece seat, and 17-inch tires, closer inspection reveals significant differences in their features and performance.

The Speed 400 boasts USD forks for a more refined riding experience, while the T4 utilizes traditional telescopic forks, hinting at cost-saving measures. The exhaust systems on both bikes are also distinct, with the T4’s tuned for a more robust sound. Comfort-wise, the T4 features a thicker seat for added padding.

Despite these variations, both bikes share a rear monoshock, disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, a semi-digital instrument console, a slipper clutch, and a USB charging port. The Speed 400 stands out with the inclusion of a traction control system, a feature absent on the T4.

Under the hood, both bikes utilize the same 399cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. However, the tuning differs: the Speed 400 produces 40bhp and 37.5Nm of torque, whereas the T4 generates 30bhp and 36Nm, prioritizing torque in lower revs for a more relaxed ride.

The Speed 400 appears as the premium offering, aimed at riders seeking a more refined and feature-rich experience. Conversely, the Speed T4 positions itself as a more budget-friendly option, appealing to riders prioritizing affordability and relaxed riding dynamics.
